  1. A little common sense goes a long way! THINK before TEXTING! Using common sense when communicating online is important. As social networks continue to grow, you must be careful to not slander, lie, or use inappropriate language in your communications. People are reading your messages, and poor judgment can come back to haunt you.

  2. THINK about it… Taking silly photos can be fun! Sharing the pictures online is not a good idea; they can be altered and hurtful, harmful comments can be attached. Distorted images of your original photo can convey the wrong message. Stay in control; don’t share your pictures!

  3. THINK about the information you share digitally Would you stand at a sporting event and yell out your name, phone number, and other personal information to thousands of strangers? Basically, that is what you are doing when you share this information online. Think before you reveal this information.

  4. Before texting… THINK! Texted messages can be forwarded again and again. Reread your message. Is this a good idea? Think about it!
