  2. The Pacific Ocean • Every year 100 thousand tonnes of our waste gets either dumped or washed into the pacific ocean. • Balloon litter floating at sea is deadly for many marine wildlife species. Marine turtles and some sea birds are particularly at risk, as they feed on prey that floats on the surface of the water.

  3. Plastic Is Deadly! • There is a huge area of the pacific ocean called the great pacific garbage patch between Hawaii and California which is twice the size of Texas. • It is thought that 100 thousand lives end each day because of plastic pollution.

  4. In the last year several councils have banned or put in place voluntary agreements to prevent mass balloon releases. In December 2001 a juvenile green turtle washed up at Knott end on sea beach near Blackpool after a balloon blocked its guts. Balloons...

Start cutting down! • Our ocean will slowly but surely build up with our plastic waste unless we cut down on rubbish and not always have the newest toys, phones e.c.t. • So be eco friendly and don’t waste perfectly good things. • Thank you for viewing this slide show as I feel very strongly about this issue.
