  3. Academic Standing in the TCoB • Good Academic Standing • 2.000 or higher • Term and UM Cumulative • Probation • 1.000-1.999 • Term and/or UM Cumulative • Dismissal • 0.999 or lower (below 0.50 for FTC) • Term and/or UM Cumulative

  4. Freshman Probation Conditions • Students need to establish the following for Good Standing: • 2.00 term GPA • 2.00 UM cum GPA • Holds are placed on an student’s registration • End of Semester Grades • Prior to early registration for the next semester

  5. Background of Probation Holds • Prior to FS06, all probation students were required to meet with their Academic Advisor to have hold removed • In FS06 FTC probation students had the option of attending a Probation Orientation instead of an advising appointment to have their hold removed • Beginning in FS07 FTC probation students were enrolled in Pathways to Success

Pathways to Success Goals • Freshman Students on Probation • Average FS07 Term GPA 1.461 • Average FS08 Term GPA 1.470 • Average FS09 Term GPA 1.470 • Average FS10 Term GPA 1.420 • Educate the masses with fewer staff hours • Pseudo intrusive • Consistent Information • Central location of campus resources • Ability to track student’s completion of program
