  5. RESEARCH 2015 Recent Nebraska research finds that teens taking driver education had significantly fewer injury or fatal crashes, and fewer traffic and alcohol related violations. Driver education appears to make a difference in teen traffic outcomes at an age when risk is highest. Duane Shell et.al ., Accident Analysis and Prevention, 2015

Driver Education Parents/Guardians Meeting Course info -- www.frenchtowndrivered.weebly.com Required – 42 classroom hrs, 12 observation hrs, 6 BTW Expectations of new driver – take responsibility for their learning Montana Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) law Requires 50 hours of supervised practice driving including 10 hours at night with parents (Begin these hours when they receive their learner’s license) Log hours in your log – Parent will sign a completion form at the DMV Limits passengers and restricts night driving with first year license
