  3. What Can Edmodo Do? Students teachers Upload course documents Answer student questions Offer links for study materials Grade anywhere w/ Internet Contact parents Students can… • Submit assignments • Take quizzes • Participate in • discussion forums • Polls • Request help from teachers

Setting the Stage for 24/7 Learning Step One: Learn the different options Edmodo has for 24/7 learning • Upload course documents/links • Polls • Create assignments • Create “quizzes” • Start discussion forums • Post daily agenda/work for absent/ISS students • Answer student questions that arise after school hours • Connect with parents/students

Setting the Stage for 24/7 Learning Step Two: Upload course documents/links to the library (see pic on next slide) • Reduce copying of extra materials • Upload course notes • Math notes • Review examples of work expectations • Videos of tutorials/from class • Special Education teachers guide students during study skills • Post Upcoming events/assignments/quizzes/tests

Setting the Stage for 24/7 Learning Step Four: Create Assignments • Upload any type of document • The computer you download it to must be able to read the file type. • MS Word, PDF, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Publisher, drafting programs, PhotoShop, image files, music files • The only limit is that the file can not be bigger than 100 MB

  11. Setting the Stage for 24/7 Learning • Assignments may be graded anywhere you have an Internet connection. • Grades may be entered in Edmodo. • Comments may be left for students. • Students can comment back.

  12. Setting the Stage for 24/7 Learning Step Five: Create Quizzes • Type quizzes into Edmodo. • Multiple choice, matching, true/false, fill in the blank, short answer • Edmodo grades all quizzes except short answer.

NOTE: Students can not send messages to each other and parents can not send messages to anybody.

  22. Implementation • Teachers can create a single account. • Schools can create an account. • Districts can create an account. All of this can be done with no official training.
