  4. Principles of Solar Box Cooker Design • The purpose of this paper is to summarize the basic principles that are used in the design of solar box cookers. • People use solar cookers primarily to cook food and pasteurize water, although additional uses are continually being developed. Numerous factors including access to materials, availability of traditional cooking fuels, climate, food preferences, cultural factors, and technical capabilities, affect people's approach to solar cooking. • With an understanding of basic principles of solar energy and access to simple materials such as cardboard, aluminum foil, and glass, one can build an effective solar cooking device. This paper outlines the basic principles of solar box cooker design and identifies a broad range of potentially useful construction materials. • These principles are presented in general terms so that they are applicable to a wide variety of design problems. Whether the need is to cook food, pasteurize water, or dry fish or grain; the basic principles of solar, heat transfer, and materials apply. We look forward to the application of a wide variety of materials and techniques as people make direct use of the sun's energy.

  5. Ho Man Ki In child ,I think only heat can make water boiling" Now , the cooker use sunlight only " the process,we don't know how to do this cooker" What thing is the best to use for making" First time to test ,the temperature only increase 5 degree" Secondly ,We put some tinfolil round the top of solar cooker" the temperature has increased more " At last, We use more material in the cooker" the cooker has improve more " In the process ,I have learn so mang thing " That is great"

  6. Ho Kam Ming Although our experiment is not successful, but we learnt some skill in this experiment first, we know that increasing the temperature to a body can using solar to heat up too. second, we know that the colour also affect the temperature to a body. Before the experiment ,i can not deny that our arrangement is not enough. However, I had seen some successful experiment (on internet), it is so am amazing ! The solar cooker is really fully cooked food !Then I know the purpose or what happen does the experiment end.

  7. Ho Wing Hong In the processing of the solar cooker , our group has many difficult , for example , How to find the material ? What are the basic kinds of solar cookers ? Would a mirror make a better reflector ? What type of paint should I use ? Is glass better than plastic for the window ? What kind of pots work best ? What is the best insulation to use ? These all questions are too difficult to find the answer . But after overcome all the difficult . Our group has success to make a solar cooker . Althought our solar cooker has only increase 5℃ , we think that our group's solar cooker is the best . During the processing , I learn that many things about heat , that why I like this project !

  8. Ho Hon Wing During this experiment , I have learn many things that is about some physical application in our daily life . But in the processing of solar cooker , we have a lot of problems . At first , we don’t know use what types of material to do . Then , we don’t have time to work together . Although our group can make the cooker in time , but our cooker can only increase 5℃ . I think that this is not a good result !

  9. Wong Wing Ho Our solar cooker is made out of box, aluminium paper and fort paper. But the experiment is not sucessful, because there are no sun light ,then the solar cooker cannot be useful. We cannot increase the temp. of the water. Although the experiment is not sucessful, but i was very happy that we can do the solar cooker and did the experiment ourselves.
