  1. 1.3 Explaining approaches to performance development based on these evaluations • Candidates must explain two different approaches to developing performance based on their evaluations of the positive and negative impacts of factors on performance used to meet Assessment Standard 1.2. • The approaches could be for the same factor impacting on performance or for the two different factors. • Explanations should clearly specify the relevance of the approach to the factor(s). • The candidate can refer to their own performance or someone else’s performance.

  2. DROPCL • D=drills • R=repetition • O= opposed or unopposed • P=pressure • C=conditioned games • L=method of learning

  3. Development of Skill level • To develop our physical factors, we will use drills as an example, specifically our 3-2-1 Drill. • This is a fun competitive drill. Have players partner-up and use all of your baskets. Each player will shoot nine sets of shots (see diagram). Each set consists of a 3-pointer, a shot-fake with jump shot, and a lay-up. We start in one corner and rotate around each of the nine spots (seen in black in the diagram). The partner rebounds and passes back to the shooter. We rotate shooters after each set of "3-2-1", so the shooter becomes the rebounder and vice-versa. The two players compete against each other and keep track of their individual scores. Each made 3-pointer = 3 points, a jump shot = 2 points, and a lay-up = 1 point. The loser does push-ups. • Extension Task • Every shot you miss you have to run to the half way line and back!!!

  4. 3-2-1 Drill • Is specific to what we want to improve (shooting) • It involved conditions and extension tasks (runs and points) improves motivation!!! • It is an unopposed drill however we could gradually build it up to involve a defender. • Increased pressure through implementing runs, makes it more pressured and game like. • It is a repetition drill – which is a great way to groove the movement patterns of shooting patterns to the brain

  5. Lay up DRILLS • Use DROPCL to add this to your answer. Your method of learning is Gradual build up!!

  6. How Could you develop your Agility?
