  1. Tips for Work-at-Home Parents

  2. Many businesses now encourage employees working from home. Studies suggest that the arrangement can save money in the long run and add bonuses on the employer’s side. Parents of young children who are working from home have to face many difficulties. They have to attend online business meetings, video conferences, etc. Digital transcription services are available to document the audio/video recordings of these events for future reference. Though working from home is advantageous, working along with young children to care for is a bit difficult.

  3. Here are some tips to ease working at home for remote employees who are also parents: • Make children aware of work time and play time • Set proper boundaries to reduce stress both personally and professionally • Use baby gates to prevent kids from coming into the work space • To get more work done, make use of the child’s sleep time

  4. Focus on work by keeping a baby video monitor in your work space • Block unwanted sounds with wireless and USB noise cancelling microphones • Try “babywearing” to minimize crying among infants • Use a standing desk while working to rock your baby The work-from-home arrangement is convenient for employees and beneficial for the employer too.
