  3. Courtesy • Please • Thank you • Take Turns • Apologize • Share • Clean Up

  4. Line Order • same spot EACH time we travel • Straight line (shoulders, feet lined up) • Personal space between people • Volume Level Zero (respect others) • Stop at Stopping Points • Greet teacher (eye contact, fist bump) • Enter room at Zero • Compliments given to class = 1 clip up!

  5. The Traffic Light • Colors help us work together to control the class’ volume • Green = good working volume for this activity • Yellow = some voices too loud • Red = Too loud - Zero Volume Signal • Two Red Lights in a day = lunch recess - plan better way to manage volume

  6. Quiet Signal • When teacher’s hand is in the air • Zero volume level • Stick hand in air with elbow straight • Look and listen

  7. Listening Position • Cooperative actions we do to help us get ready • Return to your desk • Put things away • Make eye contact with Mr. M. • Listen to Mr. M. • Keep hands on desktop

  8. Target Time • Look at the big paper digital clock • The time listed is the Target Time • Be in Listening Position on or before the Target Time

  9. The Parking Meter • keep track of time during cooperative work • One penny = 12 minutes • one minute is left look for the big watch on the board • Listening Position before the meter says: “Time Expired” • be in Listening Position on Time • This way no“Parking Fine”

  10. Bathroom Break • regular bathroom breaks scheduled • If you need to use the bathroom at other times, that’s fine • Use Bathroom sign • take the pass or your Passport with you. • Sign Out on Clipboard • Emergencies - just leave - do not ask!

  11. Drinks • We will have regular drink breaks • when we all are getting a drink we count to 5 seconds • Those waiting form line on the carpet

  12. Pencil Sharpening • Use ASL pencil sign • Your Toolmeister will exchange • Broken pencil for a sharpened one

  13. Cold Lunches • Please place in the lunch basket before school • Lunch Crew will carry the basket into the classroom • After lunch, place your lunch box in the basket • Lunch Crew will carry the basket to the classroom • Use care not to place lunch boxes on top of sacks

  14. Class Library • We will all make a shelf marker • When you choose a book • Leave your shelf marker in place • Keep the book until you finish it • 1 book per person @ a time please

  15. Crayons • If you do not have crayons you can: • go to the crayon cabinet • Get a cup • fill it with the colors you need • return the crayons to the cabinet before Target Time

  16. Supplies • Every table has a Tool Box • Most of the supplies you need are in there • Use the checklist to make sure the tools are there • Tell your Group Leader if your are missing any tools • Other tools are in paper cabinet by the sink • or in the ART cupboard.

  17. World Travel Permit • Shows all of the skills you will need to be on Level 2 • When Mr. M. sees you have “mastered” a skill • he will “initial” next to that skill. • When all skills are initialed, you move to Level 2 and receive your Passport

  18. Passport • This is the way move around on Level 2 • You will receive pictures of places to travel like: • to the pencil sharpener or the bathroom • These are called Visas. • When you wish to travel, hold up your passport • and the Visa for the place you wish to travel.
