Step 2) Get the server’s name from the server • On the server computer, open the Run command window by pressing Windows + R keys. • Type “cmd” in the Run window and then press the Enter key. • On the command prompt window, enter “ipconfig/all” and then press the Enter key. • Under the Windows IP Configuration section, look for Host Name and make a note of it.

Step 3) Check the network connectivityOn the workstation, open the Run command window by pressing Windows + R keys. • On the command prompt window, enter “ping_[your server’s name]” and then press the Enter key. • If you receive a reply for each packet with zero packet loss in the result, there is no network connectivity issue.
