  5. Weather • Two extreme seasons: Summer and Winter. • Winter: VERY cold. • Sledding • Liz Water’s hall.

  6. Badger • Badger is the mascot of Wisconsin---The America's Dairyland and the home of the Badgers. • This bucky badger on the right is the significance of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. It shows its spiritual supports in every football game.

  7. Babcock Ice-Cream • Babcock hall. • Ice cream counters around campus • Ex. Memorial Union, every cafeteria • Flavor: Caramel Capuccino, Peach Melba, French Vanilla (Vanilla Custard Ice Cream), Lumberjack (Vanilla Ice Cream with Butterscotch Swirl and Chocolate Truffle Pieces), Double Scotch (Butterscotch Flavored Ice Cream with a Butterscotch Swirl) • Sherbet and frozen yogurt

  8. Cheese • Wisconsin is also famous for cheese as well. • Do enjoy the Wisconsin cheese. It has a very appealing taste with different textures. • Cheese can please everyone easily. It can be served as a snack, a topping, and also an important ingredient of a recipe.

Farmers Markets • Well established links to surrounding farms • Produce ranges from fresh fruit to local arts and crafts • Numerous localities of markets each with their own personality Peck's Farm Market “Wisconsin's Award Winning Farmers Market” “A Market for All Seasons” Fresh vegetables, sweet corn, fruit, Wisconsin Cheese, Amish candy, gourmet specialty foods, pumpkins, gift and craft shop, petting zoo and horse drawn wagon rides, Peck's Farm Market East is a great place to shop and visit year 'round

  10. Homecoming Parade • Time-honored tradition • Cheer on Bucky Badger on State Street • One week of various exciting events sponsored by different student groups. • Goal is to unite the university and the community throughthese Homecoming events.
