  4. A bit about me • Am an accountant & lawyer • Spent most of my professional life in practice • Qualified with C & L Partner in Deloittes. • Specialised in Tax, Insolvency Law & Hi-Tech. • Directorships of several public companies.

  7. Read and prepare for each session from the class guide . Revision is to be done after class to develop the knowledge and skills. Arrive on time. Doors will close!!! Mobile phones please switch off. Don’t use Facebook in class. All electronic delivery of work must be in MS word readable form or PDF. Apple users note! Do’s and Don’ts

  8. Problems • If you have any difficulties with any aspect of the programme…… please contact me immediately. • If you are unable to attend a session for good reasons…. Please contact me before the session and I will ensure that alternatives are given to you. • The exams are NOT there to catch you. No one has ever failed one of my exams who has done the recommended preparation.

  9. Exams • There are normally exams during the course and at the end. These represent about one third of the grade. • There will be revision sessions and the website contains lots of support. • If you cannot attend a exam for reasons that are acceptable to me then I will allow this to be taken later under direct supervision.

  10. Assignments • There may well be several assignments during the semester. • These have to be delivered by the date stated. Either electronically or in person. • If you have any difficulty, please email me and I will extend the time or give personal assistance. • These assignments are there to ensure that you understand key issues. They are also very useful for preparing for the next exam!

  11. Group Study Presentations • This is a research project. • The class will be divided into small groups of 2-3. • A Large % of the grade is placed on this. • On the website are details of what I am looking for, previous student studies and interim individual reports that have to be submitted.

  12. Attendance Register • The University now requires that I insist that all students sign an attendance register at the beginning of each session. • This also allows me to see those who are making real effort. • If you are unable to attend for a good reason then please email me in advance. bigglesboy@yahoo.com
