Targeted inclusions are: • Recurring events, • Daily events • Events spanning more than one day, • Shared calendars and • Basic Outlook integration.

  22. Filtering Improvements This project will significantly improve the filtering engine of mysuite. It will introduce group-level filtering policies, through the use of a category system for school-level rules. School Administrators will be asked to assign a category to filter rules they set, and will be able to set which of those categories to apply to particular groups (much like the SmartFilter categories operate now). The frequency with which filter lists are updated will also be increased to occur hourly, rather than nightly.

  23. QTI Authoring This project will provide an integrated tool that allows teachers to create their own assessment objects. The finished objects will conform to the QTI standard and run in the Tests & Courses property, including reporting marks back to myclasses The tool includes a simple drag and drop interface to create visually appealing and easy to use assessments

  24. Student Admin System Integration 2 This project will follow the successful BECTA-led SIF integration pilot delivered in the UK in mid-2007. It will be a joint development between Editure, Netmedia, BECTA, and one of the UK Leading Student Admin Systems (MIS). It will deliver timetabling, attendance, and mark-book information via SIF into mydesktop.

  25. Parent Portal This project will deliver a parent portal and allow parent and carer user accounts to be created and associated with students. Parents and carers logging in will see information about their children’s attendance, timetable, and assessments (which will be delivered from the Admin System)

  26. Static Property Library This project will deliver an online area where information-based, non-interactive Properties can be published by teachers for cross-deployment sharing. Teachers will be able to log into this resource library and take copies of Properties published there.

  27. Multimedia Property This project will deliver the ability to easily add various multimedia files to the WYSIWYG Property. Files will run inside the Property window The media files will be able to be uploaded via the feature or can be stored on the Internet in much the same way that images can be added to myportfolio pages. Planned media types to be supported are: • swf. • flv. • mov, • mpg, mp3, mp4, mpeg. • Quicktime (qt), • Shockwave (dcr) • Windows Media (avi, wmv, wm, asf, asx, wmx, wvx)
