Discrimination against women • 2012 Entry Level Positions • Men: 47,918 • Women: 35,296 • Education • 57% populations • GPA • Men: 2.94 • Women: 3.11 • 3% of CEOs are women • 38 years to go to reach equality • Women are more likely to be ignored at meetings • Men are usually assigned more difficult assignments • Women are less likely to be asked for insight on difficult assignments
Discrimination against men • Men are shown less compassion • Men are expected to relocate, work longer, and spend their checks on others • Men are expected to perform dangerous jobs • Men are not granted paternal leave
What about in our field? • Professional staff and student staff are forced to reflect on their gender identity constantly in their positions.
