2. A New Type of Rotary Club A Passport Club is a new type of Rotary Club that encourages members to engage in service in ways that fit within your family, work and life commitments.   A Passport Rotary Club is your passport: • into Rotary- for people who have busy lives and commitments - such as young professionals, students, families and retirees - by reducing or removing barriers of time and cost, with fewer meetings and more ways to be engaged in service to others. • to other Rotary clubs- encouraging our members to visit other local Rotary clubs and to take part in their service projects, fundraisers and other activities. • to the local community - if you volunteer in other community groups, we want you to be our Rotary ambassador to those groups and let us know how we can work together to support the good work of others.

3. Mission of the District 7730 Passport Club Rotary District 7730 Passport club is a civic organization of consisting of people who seek to make a difference in their community by providing volunteerism and financial resources to the Rotary clubs throughout Rotary District 7730. 

4. WHO ARE CANDIDATES FOR THE ROTARY DISTRICT 7730 PASSPORT CLUB? The District 7730 Passport Club was conceived for several groups: • For people who cannot afford the time or the money to join a traditional Club. • For people who are unsure which Club in the District to join and want to experience what all other clubs have to offer (a starting point). • For former Rotarians who left their club due to financial, time, or other considerations, but who still maintain the desire to give and serve. • For current Rotarians who have made the decision to leave their current club, but still want to be a Rotarian (members in life transition).

5. Supporting District Clubs • Passport Club members are encouraged to attend any of the meetings of any of the other Rotary clubs in the District on days and at times that are convenient for them.  • Members are also encouraged to support the service projects and fundraising activities of any Club in the District that they find appealing as their schedule permits • Provides a pathway to joining a traditional club for hesitant new candidates • Salvages membership of members who want/need to leave the club due to expense or time restrictions.

6. WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS OF MEMBERSHIP? • Those seeking to join the District 7730 Passport Club must: • Be of good character and high ethical standard. • Fill out an application, unless you have been a Rotarian previously. • Pay membership dues- $200.00 per year • Participate in at least 40 hours of Service annually. • District 7730 Passport Club members are encouraged to give to the Rotary Foundation every year.

7. WHAT WILL THE STRUCTURE OF THE CLUB BE? • The regular Rotary International Constitution will govern the club, as well as bylaws approved by the members. • The club will be like a regular Rotary Club with a board of directors . • The Club will have a website (DACdb) and Facebook page. • DACdp Premium will be used for club administration such as Website, financial management and member self reporting of meeting attendance and service project participation.

8. WHERE WILL THE FOUR ANNUAL MEETINGS BE HELD? • The members will decide where meetings will be held. Even if one cannot attend a physical meeting, it is possible to do a virtual meeting. • We will use the district’s GoToMeeting subscription to have meetings online any time at all. We can also use Zoom which allows more people on video. • If we can charter quickly, the first meeting would likely be a charter meeting in June. We need 20 members to charter.
