  4. VoIP - VoATM • 7 universities throughout Greece • VoIP - RadVision-L2W-323 Gateways • VoATM – CE - structured mode • preparing for Jan. 2001

H.323 conferencing (MCU enabled) • Goal: easy access to multi-point conferences for end-users • hardware/software MCUsCisco 3510, Enzenia, MeetingPoint/NT • interoperability tests for H.323 - T.120Intel, VCON, PictureTel, NMeeting, CuSeeMe • docs for users/administrators of H.323 systems • MegaConference 2 - participating MCU • Problems: no MCU scheduling solution,limited accounting options, charging schema

  6. H.320 gateways • Goal: provide access to legacy systems • hardware gatewayCisco 3525 • few tests with H.320 clients(PictureTel 200, IntelProShare) • VoIP interoperability tests with CISCO-MCM and RADVision gatekeepers

  7. Dial-plan support • Goal: integration of existing sparse VoIP services into a unified national dial-plan • Tests with Cisco-MCM gatekeeper • ViDeNet participation • Problems:central directory gatekeeper difficulties w/ RADVision gatewaysno ability for dial-string manipulation

  8. Streaming • Goal: cover important events in the academic community and archive material for on-demand viewing • Streaming technologiesReal-Bitcasting, IP/TV, MBONE • Problems: advertising events to the end userstreaming live from the sitearchiving and metadata
