  3. Lever A lever goes up and down or under. A lever is when you push and pull. A pivot is at the end of a lever. A lever is when it lowers a wedge. One end can be moved as the lever pivots on the fulcrum at the base. Every lever has a pivot.

  4. Pulley A pulley is when you can pull a flay up.

  5. Wheel and Axle A wheel and Axle is when there is a wheel that goes rolling on the floor. A wheel and Axle help reduce friction and allow a heavy object like a car to move around easily. A ferieswheel has a wheel and Axle in it.

  6. Wedge A wedge is when you cut though type of food. A wedge is when something cuts food. A sharks teeth is a wedge.

  7. Incline Plane A inclined plane is when it goes down like water does. An Inclined plane is like a hill.

  8. Screw A screw tightens something onto a jar. A screw is to push something down. A screw makes something stay down.

  9. Gear • A gear is when one gear goes clockwise and the other gear goes anticlockwise. • A gear is inside a clock is to make the hands in the clock move.
