  2. SEGP Purpose: • Economic Development through New Annual, On-going Events • Event Categories • Cultural or Heritage Events • Sporting Events • Attendance Events Travel Montana, Department of Commerce 2003

  3. SEGP Eligibility • Non-profit sponsor, city, county, tribe (federal or state agencies NOT eligible) • New annual event or established after May 30, 2000 • Priority consideration given to shoulder season events Travel Montana, Department of Commerce 2003

  4. SEGP Funding & Uses • 2003 Funding Pool: $50,000 Deadline: Jan. 17, 2003 • Minimum Grant: $2,500; Maximum: $50,000 • Match Funds: 50% must be “hard” match, actual dollar investment • Match Ratios: 3/1, 2/1, or 1/1 depending on economic status of county • Eligible uses: Marketing outside 100 mile radius of event, equipment rental, insurance, performer fees, temporary security, mailings, promo materials • Ineligible uses: Construction, payroll, prize money, alcohol, cash subsidies, county fairs, reunions, conventions Travel Montana, Department of Commerce 2003
