  1. The Strategic Academic Plan How can we improve academics?

  2. Tasks • Each member on your team has specific tasks. Decide on your role and begin your assignment. Team Mgr.Research Mgr.Production Mgr.Script Mgr. • Your multimedia presentation must be themed around your definition of the academic plan. • A hard copy of a works cited/bibliography must be included. • Time must be budgeted wisely!

  3. Action Plan • Read each role carefully to understand the responsibilities. • Draft out your group’s due dates. It is important to systematically plan your project. You do not want to wait until the last minute to pull the project together. • List all materials needed to complete the project.

  4. The Process • After receiving your assignment, your group must develop an action plan and plan out your storyboard. • You group will complete individual Journal Entries to be turned in: • Journal 1 Friday (3/7) • Journal 2 Wednesday (3/12) • Journal 3 (to be turned in upon completion)

  5. Story Board • You can download a template for a storyboard or you can create one. • It should include the following: • Pictures • Video • Description • Narration • Headings/Titles • Color for text • Transitions

  6. Journals Journal 1: Assess yourself in your groups planning process. Journal 2: What strengths have you brought to your team? Journal 3: Evaluate your multimedia project. What are the strengths? How could it have been improved?

  7. Skillful Problem Solving • Why is there a problem? • What is the problem? • What are possible solutions to the problem? • What is the best solution to the problem?

  8. Team Manager You are the team facilitator and the communicator of your group. You oversee the multimedia presentation by assisting the: • Research • Production • Script managers Ultimately, you are responsible in seeing that the team meets the goal and the project deadline.

  9. Research Manager • You are expected to collect: • Images • Sounds • Video based upon groups interpretation Be sure to save resources to build your works cited page.

  10. Production Manager • You produce the multimedia presentation. • Creativity is a major piece of your work. • Your group may choose to create a movie, looped PowerPoint presentation etc.. • Be prepared to handle last minute changes .

  11. Script Manager • YOU MUST BE EXTREMELY ORGANIZED!!!! • You are responsible for creating the storyboard. • You need to communicate with the research manager about pics and background music. • Script must capture the meaning of the problem. • You will need to narrate the script within the video.
