UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT CHAPEL HILLSCHOLARSHIPS, AWARDS, AND STUDENT AID COMMITTEEA Standing Committee of Faculty Council Charge and Composition: The committee is appointed by the Chancellor. It establishes policy for scholarship and student aid funds, monitors the operations of the Office of Scholarships and Student Aid, hears appeals for termination of athletic grant-in-aid scholarships, and advises the Chancellor on matters regarding scholarships and other forms of student aid.

Average Need Average Total Aid toAided Needy Dependent Undergraduates, By Family Income Level2004-2005 UNC-Chapel Hill (n= 929) Need $14,470 (n=704) Need $12,200 (n= 919) Need $10,600 (n=1,606) Need $7,550 (n= 552) Need $7,120 Carolina met or exceeded the documented need of all aided dependent students, who applied on time, within each income range, though sources and types of aid varied.
