What are they made out of? They are made out of hard resin. The supporting structures of dentures that hold the artificial teeth in place and resembles the natural gum line is often made out of a similar resin used for teeth or more flexible polymer material that fits snugly in natural gum.
Types of Dentures 1)Partial Dentures: They are often used for tooth replacement methods when surrounding natural teeth are not strong enough to support structures or when more than one or two teeth are missing. They are not permanently fastened, however they can be easily taken out at any time for cleaning and while sleeping. 2)Full Dentures: They are also known as complete dentures. They are the dentures that replace all of your natural teeth. You can have them fitted for your top or bottom gumline and are held in place by suction or with the help of oral adhesive. How to clean dentures? Regardless of what kind of dentures you may have all dentures need to be cleaned dailly just like regular teeth. Even though dentures are made up of artificial teeth, bacteria, plaque and tartar still build up on them and can harm existing gums .To clean your dentures take them out of your mouth and run clean water over them to dislodge any food particles that may stuck between teeth and along the gumline. Then brush the dentures all over with a denture brush or very soft toothbrush using denture cleaner
