UP Consolidation of Holdings Act, 1953

The Uttar Pradesh Consolidation of Holdings Act, 1953 (U.P. Act No. 5 of 1954) is a significant law enacted to reform the agricultural land structure in the state. It received the Presidentu2019s assent on March 4, 1954, and was published in the U.P. Gazette on March 8, 1954. The Act was created to reorganize fragmented landholdings into compact units for better agricultural development.
