  1. World War II • The next major conference was held at Potsdam. Here the US was represented by Truman as Franklin Roosevelt had died shortly before. At this conference it became clear the Stalin had no intention of giving up control on Eastern Europe as he felt the Soviet Union needed a “buffer zone.” Truman also let slip the US had developed a weapon on extreme destructive power. The Cold War had begun.

  9. 300 Club • Be part of our new community service club, the 300 Club! • The first informational meeting will take place this Thursday at 11:40 in Ms Langel’s room…Be part of something special and bring your ideas! • Remember, students are required to do at least 75 community service hours in order to graduate high school. Dress Code • Students are required to wear “Dockers-Style” Pants or Shorts. • NOT Spandex or Leggings or Tights or Yoga Pants or Sweats, Etc. • Shorts and skirts are required to be at least finger-tip length. If violations continue, students will be required to buy pants from a specific vendor (as we do with tops) next year. • Students are asking to switch over to jeans next year, but that will notbe considered unless things improve NOW. • ONLY school hoodies are allowed.

  17. Announcements • Pick up trash from school grounds at lunchtime. • New Policy: No spraying of any kind inside classrooms. All sprays should be administered OUTSIDE the classrooms.
