A student must possess satisfactory level of achievement in the curricular subjects of Maths, Mother Tongue, English and Environmental Studies. However, its seen that many students at elementary levels fail in maths or have poor achievement. Often, students also develop maths phobia.

  6. Project Description (contd) • In order to overcome this problem for the village students who have less scope for private tuitions, and their parents no or less concern about the education of their students, the graduate teacher trainees (B.Ed) can be a great help thorough an extension program like service learning. The project aims at providing coaching to the maths under-achievers in surrounding villages of TEIs in India and Bhutan involving B.Ed students free of cost. The teacher educators from India and Bhutan, the participating students as well, will collaborate using ICT tools in implementing the project.
