Background • 1987 to 2008 • Kwantlen hosted program for internationally educated nurses • evolution from test-preparation skills to professional communication skills • 2008 to present • “Professional Communications for Internationally Educated Health Professionals” curriculum • performance-based approach focuses on soft skills and communicative strategies for workplace success
