  3. WHEN I ARRIVE TO SCHOOLMY ROUTINE IS: • I am on time and ready to learn. • I left all my toys and electronics at home. If I have a cell phone, it is turned off and put away. • I am dressed appropriately for school. • I greet teachers and friends respectfully and positively. • I travel directly to breakfast, my class line outside, or to my classroom. • When the bell rings, I go directly to my classroom.

WHEN I ARRIVE TO SCHOOL THE EXPECTATIONS ARE: RESPECTFUL • I come in quietly – voice level 1 • I use good manners • I listen and follow directions RESPONSIBLE • I am on time • I go directly to where I need to be CARING • I smile and greet others • I am calm and aware of my surroundings SAFE • I walk • I keep hands, feet and objects to myself

AT BREAKFAST MY ROUTINE IS: • I enter the cafeteria quietly and respectfully. • I greet Miss Susie and Miss Robin when appropriate. • I wait in line silently with my body to myself. • I get breakfast quickly and quietly. • I eat without talking, and use good manners. • I clean up after myself. • I go directly to class.

AT BREAKFAST THE EXPECTATIONS ARE: RESPECTFUL • I use good manners • I listen and follow directions • I am quiet – voice level 1 RESPONSIBLE • I eat quickly so I am ready to learn • I clean up after myself CARING • I am kind and help others • I care for our earth with Food to Flowers procedures SAFE • I walk • I keep hands, feet and objects to myself

IN THE HALLWAYS MY ROUTINE IS: • I travel silently with my hands, feet and items to myself. • I go directly to my destination. • I stay on the right side of the hallway. • When in line, I face forward and stay in my line. • I greet others with a silent wave. • If I must leave the line for any reason, I return to the end of the line.

IN THE HALLWAYS, THE EXPECTATIONS ARE: RESPECTFUL • I am silent – voice level 0 • I use good manners • I listen and follow directions RESPONSIBLE • I stay in my line • I admire artwork with my eyes only • I go directly to my destination CARING • I am kind and help others • I hold the door when needed SAFE • I walk • I keep hands, feet and objects to myself

  9. WHEN I USE MY LOCKER MY ROUTINE IS: • I open my locker carefully and as quietly as possible – I do not talk to anyone. • I put away or get my things quickly. • I close my locker carefully and as quietly as possible. • If there is a problem with my locker, I report it to my teacher.

  10. WHEN I USE MY LOCKER THE EXPECTATIONS ARE: RESPECTFUL: • I use only MY locker. • I open and shut it quietly. • I am silent – voice level 0. RESONSIBLE: • I keep my locker clean, neat and organized. • I do not keep food in my locker. • I make sure I do not leave any items or trash in the hallway. CARING: • I am kind and help others with their locker if needed. SAFE: • I am careful with my locker door. • I keep hands, feet and objects to myself.

  11. MY ROUTINE FOR ANNOUNCEMENTS IS: • I stop what I’m doing, fold my hands, and listen respectfully – even if I am at breakfast. • I stay in my seat and keep my voice off. • If I am in the hallway, I go directly to my classroom, enter silently and listen. • I participate when appropriate.

  12. DURING ANNOUNCEMENTS THE EXPECTATIONS ARE: RESPECTFUL • I am silent – voice level 0 • I listen and stay in the moment RESPONSIBLE • I pay attention and participate CARING • I am thoughtful of others SAFE • I keep hands, feet, and objects to myself

AT LUNCH MY ROUTINE IS: • I enter the cafeteria silently. • If I have cold lunch, I go directly to my table and eat my lunch quietly and with good manners. • If I have hot lunch, I am in my class line. • In line, I am in alphabetical order and I am silent with my body to myself. • I say my name at the register, get my tray and utensils, go through the salad bar, get a milk, and get my main meal. • I go directly to my class table and eat my lunch quietly using good manners. • I clean up when directed to and make sure our class table and the floor are clean. • I exit safely and silently.

AT LUNCH THE EXPECTATIONS ARE: RESPECTFUL • I am quiet – voice level 1 to 2 • I use good manners • I listen and follow directions RESPONSIBLE • I raise my hand to be excused from the table • I aim for zero food waste • I clean up after myself CARING • I am kind and help others • I help the earth by following Food to Flowers procedures SAFE • I walk • I keep hands, feet and objects to myself

  15. AT RECESS MY ROUTINE IS: • I exit silently and go directly to the playground. • I play safely and cooperatively. • I have fun! • When the bell rings, I immediately stop, return equipment, and walk to the line-up area silently. • I wait silently for my teacher.

AT RECESS, THE EXPECTATIONS ARE: RESPECTFUL • I share and take turns • I use good manners • I listen and follow directions RESPONSIBLE • I take care of equipment and use it correctly • I line up quickly and quietly with my belongings • I have fun! CARING • I include everyone • I encourage others • I play fairly SAFE • I dress for the weather • I keep hands, feet and objects to myself • I stay in assigned areas

  17. IN THE RESTROOM, MY ROUTINE IS: • I ask and get permission to use the restroom. • I take a pass. • I go directly to the restroom. I am silent. • If the restroom is full, I wait outside. • I use the restroom quickly and silently. • I flush. • I wash my hands with soap and dry my hands. • I return directly to class.

IN THE RESTROOM, THE EXPECTATIONS ARE: RESPECTFUL • I am silent – voice level 0 • I use good manners RESPONSIBLE • I use the restroom quickly • I clean up after myself and remember to flush • I wash my hands CARING • I respect privacy • I take care of our school and keep it clean SAFE • I walk • I keep hands, feet and objects to myself

  19. At DISMISSAL THE ROUTINE IS: • I exit silently with my class. I have all my homework and needed supplies. • I go directly to the bus area or the parent pick-up area. If I am going to the parent pick-up area, I use the front door only. • I wait patiently and quietly. I use good manners. • If I am a walker – I leave immediately and walk directly home.

AT DISMISSAL THE EXPECTATIONS ARE: RESPECTFUL • I listen and follow directions • I use good manners • I am silent– voice level 0 RESPONSIBLE • I have all my homework and belongings • I go directly to the bus or pick-up area CARING • I am kind and help others SAFE • I walk • I keep hands feet and objects to myself

  21. AT THE BUS AREA MY ROUTINE IS: • I WALK directly to my bus line or to the bus if it is loading. • My bus line is single file, quiet and orderly. • All my things stay packed. • I greet my bus driver politely.

AT THE BUS AREA THE EXPECTATIONS ARE: RESPECTFUL • I listen and follow directions • I wait patiently • I use good manners • I am quiet – voice level 1 to 2 RESPONSIBLE • I stay in my line • I keep my things packed CARING • I am kind and help others SAFE • I walk • I keep hands, feet and objects to myself

  23. AT PARENT PICK-UP MY ROUTINE IS: • I wait under the covered front walk-way. • I keep my feet on the sidewalk • When my car pulls up, I get in quickly and safely on the curb side only. • I think about all I learned today and share the good news with my parents! 

AT PARENT PICK-UP THE EXPECTATIONS ARE: RESPECTFUL • I am quiet – voice level 1 to 2 • I listen and follow directions – of Safety Patrol too! • I use good manners RESPONSIBLE • I watch for my car or parent • I stay under the covered area until my car is stopped at the curb or my parent comes for me CARING • I am kind and help others SAFE • I walk • I follow cross-walk and parking lot safety procedures • I keep hands, feet and objects to myself

ON THE BUS MY ROUTINE IS: • I board the bus quickly and quietly and safely. • I follow all directions of my bus driver. • I go directly to my seat. • I remain quiet – my voice is not above a whisper. • I sit respectfully, responsibly and safely for my entire ride. • At my stop, I exit quickly, quietly, and safely. • I remember to say thank-you to my driver.

  27. YOU ARE A KID AT HOPE,YOU ARE A HAWK – YOU ROCK! We believe in you! We know you want to do your very best all the time to make our school great! Because we care about you, we expect you to follow these rules and expectations. We will always help you if you need it.
