Update on Registration for Transition to Nodal Market (continued) Update on Registration for Transitioning to the Nodal Market • Step R1- Registration applications • Applications are complete and posted on ERCOT.com July’07 and are available for execution as appropriate • CRR Account Holder Application (http://www.ercot.com/services/rq/crr/index.html ) • QSE Application (http://www.ercot.com/services/rq/qse/index.html ) • TSP/DSP (http://www.ercot.com/services/rq/tdsp/index.html ) • Step R2- Execute Standard Form Agreements (SFA) • ERCOT Board meeting in July approved NPPR058 and PRR729 which finalized SFA • SFA now identical for zonal and nodal (so no re-execution for nodal will be needed) • ERCOT Legal began circulating SFA on Aug 3, TPTF also notified Aug 6th. • DUE DATE- October 15, 2007 http://nodal.ercot.com 3

Update on Registration for Transition to Nodal Market (continued) Update on Registration for Transitioning to the Nodal Market • Step R3- Attestation of Qualification of Ancillary Services • Form for QSEs wanting to “grandfather” their zonal qualification into nodal • Posted 7/2/07 and available at (http://nodal.ercot.com/readiness/rq/documents/index.html ) • DUE DATE- September 4, 2007 • Step R4- Resource Asset Registration Form (RARF) • Nodal RARF pre-populated and emailed to Generation Resources only • ERCOT also included copy of zonal GARF on file • RARF entries were filtered to only request data for EDS3 (see next page) • Hosted RARF Q&A Meeting on 8/9/07 to address common questions and provide sample of Combined Cycle • Most questions related to Ramp Rates, Reasonability Limits, and Combined Cycle • DUE DATE- September 4, 2007 http://nodal.ercot.com 4

Other activities being looked at for support of nodal registration: It was discussed at the June 6th Registration Kick-Off Meeting that other Registration information is needed beyond Steps 1-4 in transitioning to the nodal market. ERCOT will begin process to formally describe and track the following activities for transitioning to Nodal: • Confirming Generation Resource Metering to EPS Meters • Submitting Eligible contracts and entitlements for PCRRs • Declaration of NOIE Load Zones • Submission of Verifiable Costs • Dynamic Scheduling Registration activities http://nodal.ercot.com 6
