  1. Ways to Stay Safe if a Large Crowd Turns Deadly What do all the big events like concerts, festivals, sports games have in common? The crowd. It’s insane, always. The bigger the event the worse it could get especially when there is a possible threat lurking nearby. Although these events are meant to be fun and entertaining but with the growing trend of mishaps happening at bigger events the behavior of a large crowd can change within seconds resulting in a deadly stampede. Considering the danger that surrounds these events you neither want to become reckless nor should stop going to such occasions. What should you do then? Even when you have a security guards team at your disposal at events catering to huge crowds you should know how to protect yourself from possible dangers and stampede with a little conscious effort. Better act safe than sorry. Here is how you can do it: Try To Leave Early Leaving the venue at the end of a huge event is a total mess. People tend to make mass exodus to the exits in hopes of getting to the gates first and leaving safely before anyone else. Getting stuck in a crowd could be the worst thing to happen with anyone in case of an emergency, you may feel like you are being swept along with the rest of the crowd. And if something unexpected happens you stand the chance of being trampled in the stampede of people trying to get out of the doors hurriedly. Sure you will see security guards at the venue trying to control the crowd and calm the people but acting smarter and leaving the place a bit early can save you from a lot of trouble. Pick A Friend When you reach the venue take a good look around before you take your seats at the event. Pick a designated spot preferably in a well-lit area and let your group know about it. Keep that spot as a meeting place just in case any of you get lost or separated from each other. In case you need to go to the restrooms or the food stalls, decide ahead of time who will go with you and where you guys will meet later. Never forget to take your phone with you anywhere you go in the venue and let the rest of the group know about your whereabouts. In case of any emergency that spot could be your meeting point that saves you time and effort. Do Not Stop Being Cautious So the event is reaching its end and everything went smoothly and there does not seem a chance anything could happen now. Instead of winding down you should not stop being cautious. Sure the event it over but leaving the venue is not the time to let your guard down. Stay cautious and well aware of your surroundings. Criminals and thieves work swiftly when the crowd is moving and no one is expecting anything. This is the time when people are most vulnerable and you will notice the security guards at the venue being extra careful at that time and that is why.
