8th Grade Classroom Expectations and Resources

Welcome to 8th Grade! To ensure a successful year, please be on time and come prepared with homework. We provide class materials, including ALGEBRA 1 books and calculators when needed. Online textbooks are accessible through specified usernames and passwords. Late work is accepted with grade limits, and assignments can be redone for a maximum grade of 70%. Keep track of progress through Skyward and our classroom website. We offer tutoring every morning at 8 AM and after school by appointment. For questions, feel free to reach out via email.

  2. Classroom Expectations • Be on time • Have your HOMEWORK!! • Be Respectful

  3. CLASS SETS • Books(ALGEBRA 1) • Calculators These are provided on days needed in the classroom

  4. ON-LINE TEXTBOOKS • PRE-ALGEBRA my.hrw.com username: student id # password: huskies2014 • ALGEBRA 1 my.hrw.com username:ehusky password: j6h2z

  5. MATH Late Work • PRE: up to 3 days late…Max grade 70% • ALG: up to 2 days late…Max grade 60%

  6. RE-DO grades below 70% • Any assignment, quiz, or test can be re-done for a maximum grade of a 70%.

  7. ABSENT • Check your e-mail when your student is absent • I will send all work home via e-mail • This will help your child stay current in math class.

  8. Skyward and Website • All assignments will be in skyward a whole grading period at a time. • Between this and the website you have two ways to monitor your student’s progress.

  9. Tutoring • Every morning @ 8AM OR • After school By appointment
