  3. Manufacturing and Recovery process • ERP should include return flows • Should incorporate accounting of parts recovered from used products. • APS should consider cannibalized parts for PPC • Disassembly process and remanufacturing should be incorporated in APS

  5. Distribution and collection • ERP system should automate entire PLC • ERP should register place of sale, parts operation, repair and maintenance history • Products can fit with monitoring device • Service centers can help in estimating quantum of returns based on sensor data

  6. Distribution and collection • At strategic level APS should support network decisions • Location and capacity decisions • Transportation planning should be incorporated in APS for reverse logistics

Supplier and Customer collaboration • Customer register helps in planning • Large user of PC can provide information on when and how much he can return • Use of electronic market places helps in reducing uncertainty in supply of core • Waste Paper exchanges, scrap metal exchanges and other tading exchanges help a lot

  8. Supplier and Customer collaboration • RFID can be used to track the inventory • MRP can be prepared if advanced shipping notice from suppliers • Credit notes generation can be automated • Quality checking also can be automated
