  2. *Prospero-Summary • Tempest, by William Shakespeare, is a play about magic and love, etc. Prospero is the main character of Tempest, and he is the former Duke of Milan. However, his brother Antonio takes over, and then he is sent to an island with his daughter. Prospero uses many powers, and controls Ariel (fairy). Prospero ultimately plots a great plan and succeeds, leading back to his dukedom.

  3. *Prospero-Line • PROSPERO [Aside] Honest lord,Thou hast said well; for some of you there presentAre worse than devils. • This is when Prospero tells Alonso, the king, that the monstrous looking creatures he saw were not as monstrous than other creatures.

  4. *Antonio • Antonio is the current Duke of Milan until Prospero takes over again, and he is Prospero’s brother. He was on the ship with the King, and after shipwreck, he tried to plot against the king and Gonzalo, with. When he sees his brother Prospero living on this island, he had no chance against his magic. Antonio does not use any magic powers, because he is just normal human.

  5. *Antonio-Line • ANTONIO I'll teach you how to flow. • Antonio tells Sebastian he knows how to rebel, since he has tried it against his brother and succeeded. This time, he’s using it on Alonso and Gonzalo.

  6. *Gonzalo • Gonzalo is who helped Prospero when they were chose to leave to the island. Based on the text, he is older than Sebastian and Antonio, and is plotted against them until he finds out. Gonzalo does not use any powers since he is just an ordinary high class noble under the king. After shipwreck, he continues finding ways with Alonso.

  7. *Gonzalo-Line • GONZALO I' the name of something holy, sir, why stand youIn this strange stare? • Gonzalo is talking to his king Alonso, and he is always concerned and is curious about his thoughts and actions. He is very loyal.
