  1. Hierarchical Service Discovery and Advertisement in MANETs Based on CBRP Researchers: Seyed Amin Hosseini Seno Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rahmat Budiarto Dr. Wan Tat Chee

  2. Introduction • Service Discovery (SD) & ServiceAdvertisement (SA) are important component inMobileAd-hoc NETworks (MANETs) and it isMajor prerequisite for effective usability of MANETs. • SD is a process to finding an appropriate service • SA is a mechanism used to introduce newly joined services to the network

  3. Introduction • There is not any infrastructure in MANETs and every nodes are free to move randomly and organize themselves arbitrarily; thus, the network's wireless topology may change rapidly and unpredictable. so find a suitable service or resource in the MANETs is CHALLENGING. • Choosing an unsuitable service advertisement and service discovery procedure increasing (i) Overhead of network communication (ii) Consumption battery. • Selecting appropriate mechanism for service discovery is very important and it is prerequisite for effective usability of MANETs.

  4. What is MANETS? A MANET is a self-configuring network of mobile routers connected by wireless links. The routers are free to move randomly and organize themselves arbitrarily; thus, the network's wireless topology may change rapidly and unpredictably.

  5. Where is the MANET use? • Minimal configuration and quick deployment make MANETs suitable for: emergency situations like natural or human-induced disasters, military conflicts, emergency medical situations, collabrative and distributed computing, wireless mesh ans sensor and hybrid networks, etc

  6. Main Problem • Doing SD & SA In Network Layer Based on CBRP Instead of Application Layer With security and power efficient issues. • Choosing a suitable service discovery procedure Decreasing: - Overhead of network communication - Consumption battery. • Choosing an unsuitable service advertisement procedure may cause network traffic inside the computing environment

  7. Achievement Researches • Published 2 Journal Paper ► A New Approach CBRP Based Resource Information Management in MANETs , International Journal of Computer Science and Network Security, Vol. 8 No. 5, May 30, 2008 ► Survey and New Approach in Service Discovery and Advertisment for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks. International Journal of Computer Science and Network Security, 28 February, 2007, Vol. 7, No. 2 • Published 1 Conference Paper ►Hybrid Hierarchical Approach for Addressing Service Discovery Issues in MANETs, Proceedings of the 14th ICT and the 8th MICC Conferences, Penang , 15-17 May 2007, IEEE Catalog • Ready to Submit 3 journal Paper ►Extended CBRP: Routing Layer Based Hierarchical Service Advertisement and Discovery for MANETs, ► Secure CBRP-Based Resource Information Management in MANETs ►New Proposed PAUSE Frame for Full duplex Gigabit Ethernet Family
