  1. STEPS TO CPR Check for hazards (fire/water/glass/gas) Pinch and Shout (“Are you okay?!) Call for HELP! Check for Pulse (10 seconds) They don’t have a pulse…. Landmark (nipple line or 2 fingers above where ribs meet) Chest Compressions (30 compressions:2 Breaths) After 4 cycles, check for pulse again

  2. STEPS TO RESCUE BREATHING Check for hazards (fire/water/glass/gas) Pinch and Shout (“Are you okay?!) Call for HELP! Check for Pulse (10 seconds)They have a pulse…. Head-Tilt-Chin-Lift (open the airway) Look-Listen-Feel (10 seconds) No Breathing? Adult = 1 breath:5 seconds Child/Infant = 1 breath: 3 seconds

  3. Conscious Choking Adult PARTIAL BLOCKAGE Ask if you can help Encourage them to keep coughing COMPLETE BLOCKAGE Stand behind victim Put foot in-between their legs Landmark fist above belly button Perform abdominal thrusts

  4. Conscious Choking Child COMPLETE BLOCKAGE Place baby along the length of your arm (supporting head) Give 5 chest compressions (using 2 fingers) Flip baby on to its stomach (supporting head!) Give five back blows Flip baby back and check mouth for foreign object Repeat
