MSC Operations Update • FY2013 Budget closed out • $103,586.83 cash balance • Overspent conference and travel costs • No salary left over due State Employee bonuses. • FY2014 Budget Status (as of Sept 23) • Member Payments: $235,717.40 collected; $12,342.02 not. • SD annual license and maintenance paid. • Software • SirsiDynix “Roadmap” • Symphony SP4 Nov/Dec • Mobile Circ in beta, release Nov • BLUEcloud Analytics – beta Oct/Nov, release Dec. • Shoutbomb – testing to begin in early October.

Pilot Update IMPLICATIONS for the MSC • This pilot and the recent RFP clearly indicate that the MSC is so unique and specialized that it would make future migration to a different ILS extremely challenging. • Less data, time, and effort would be wasted later if MSC libraries and policies were more cohesive and similar before a possible migration, whenever that may be.
