  3. JAWS • Purpose of Jaws is to allow full access of the computer to people with poor or no vision. • “JAWS” because it reads aloud everything written on the screen.

  4. JAWS • Intricate program with many specific command keys that one must remember to access full benefits of software (not so easy). • Amazing software that can really open up a lot for someone with low or no vision, if they are willing to put the time and effort into learning it.

  5. JAWS • Examples of some JAWS commands(for a laptop computer) Close active box Alt + F4 Read prior line Up Arrow Say all Caps + Down Arrow Speed up Alt + Control + Pg Up

  7. JAWS When you have a chance, try it yourself. The demo is free and the JAWS help bar will navigate you through it. (remember to make sure that the volume on your computer is not off!)
