  4. Bandwagon • Advertisers try to make you believe that everyone else is buying the product, so you should too!

  5. Transfer • Using rich, beautiful people having fun to sell a product. Advertisers are trying to make you think that if you buy the product, you will look like or be like the people in the ad.

  6. Humor • Advertisers try to make you laugh. If you laugh, you will make a positive connection to their product & buy it!

  7. Celebrity Endorsement • Advertisers use celebrities or a famous person to sell their product.

  8. Statistics or Science • Advertisers use numbers or scientific facts to sell their products. Often, the ads suggest that their product is scientifically proven to make you healthier.

  9. The Cute Factor (or the “Aahh” Appeal) • Advertisers use a cute image, such as animals, children, or babies to sell their product.
