STATEMENT OF WORK We have agreed with the San Diego Fire Rescue to meet the following specifications: Radar detects a distance of 10 feet from terrain Mounted lighting system visibly alerts hoist operator and maintains visibility Redesign casing to easily replace battery sources Sensor must properly function with or without rescuer present Device should turn off at top of hoist Requirements Lightweight (<1 pound) Waterproof Self powered by 2 9V batteries Shielded from static discharge Non-interfering with helicopter navigation equipment Resources Needed Casings manufacturer Circuit Simulation Program Lab equipment for circuit testing
