  2. What is VEA? • A Company Limited by Guarantee • Non profit making • Objective is to promote Tourism in East Anglia • Funded by 10 leading players in Norfolk & Suffolk with £100,000 • Supported and recognised by the New Anglia LEP, Visit England and both County Councils

  3. Value • Total value of tourism to Suffolk economy = £1.75bn • Total employment = over 36,000 jobs • Approx 2,000 tourism businesses • Domestic holiday nights = 4.8 million • Overseas Visitor Nights = 1.7 million • Total day trip visits = 24.7 million

  4. Reason to Visit • Wide range of cultural, historical, leisure pursuits, sporting facilities, natural countryside, beaches and quality food and drink, festivals and events • Easily accessible by road, rail, air and sea • Has the warmest and driest climate in the UK
