  5. What are we doing? • 2 year research program (July 1999 – July 2001) • 9 case study projects in building and civil construction • Mt Isa • Emerald • Toowoomba • Hervey Bay

  6. Aimsof the Project • Identifying the advanced IT solutions • Adopting existing technology and developing new technology • Implementing the designated technologies • Conducting case studies analysis of the benefits

Proposed Features • Project Web Portals: • Advanced e-mail between stakeholders • Rapid file transfer between stakeholders • Shared project information databases • Electronic whiteboard allowing mark-up of images and drawings by multiple parties • Still and video imaging of project activities and locations • Internet-based video conferencing • Wireless hand-held devices
