  2. History of the Baldwin County EDA • Formed 1994, 501c6 • An “alliance” of • County government • 14 Municipalities • 5 Chambers • 8 Industrial Development Boards • 100+ Private Investors

BCEDA Purpose • Facilitate and initiate the growth of high paying jobs and corporate capital investment • Develop a diversified resilient economy • Advocate for a pro-business attitude and environment • Provide county-wide overview and coordination/involvement in issues which will affect the long term viability and quality of life of Baldwin County • Provide a link between corporate entities and workforce development agents

  4. BCEDA Focus • Business recruitment • Support existing business • Encourage and help entrepreneurs • Community Development/Infrastructure • Workforce development and recruiting

  5. BCEDA Board of Directors • 17 voting members • 3 appointed by each Chamber • 2 Chamber Presidents • Staggered 3 year terms • Various representatives that have stake in ED • 2 ex-officio members • A County Commissioner • A Mayor • Meetings are held every other month
