  1. Donetsk National University of Economics and Trade named after Mykhailo Tugan-Baranovsky Problems of innovative activity of enterprises in Ukraine in a field of energy efficiency OLEKSANDR OLIFIROV Doctor of Sciences, Professor alex.olifirov@gmail.com

  2. Actuality • Energy intensity differs depending on world regions. It is three times higher in CIS than in European countries. Levels in OECD Asia and Latin America are about 15% above those in Europe, while North America stands 40% higher, but remains below the world average. India is on a par with the world average, with energy intensity levels 60% higher than in Europe.

  3. The high energy intensity in the CIS, the Middle East, China and other Asian developing countries is mainly explained by the predominance of energy-intensive industries and low energy prices. Energy intensity of Ukraine (0.471 koe/$2005p) approximately in 1,3 times exceeds the middle index of countries of CIS (0.359 koe/$2005p), and in 2,5 times exceeds the middle index of countries of world (0.192 koe/$2005p), on the state on a 2010 year.

  6. Innovative activity of enterprises in Ukraine An important challenge facing the economies of Ukraine and other countries with economies in transition, is the modernization of industry, improving efficiency and quality of production to the level of developed countries.  One aspect of modernization - the technological and product innovations.

  7. Strategy of deep modernization of national economy by introduction of innovative technologies

  8. The state should encourage innovation, pursue a policies. State innovation policy aimed at creating a socio-economic, organizational and legal conditions for the effective re-establishment, development and use of scientific and technological potential of the country, ensuring the introduction of modern eco-friendly, safe, energy - and resource-saving technologies, production and sales of new competitive products.

  9. The imperatives of design of innovative products • Innovation must have the owner. • Focusing on a empathy of customer needs. • The generation of ideas. • Visual thinking. • Modelling. • Development patterns, prototypes. • Storytelling. • Scenarios. • Innovation must be  fast.

  10. For achievement by Ukraine world level of energy intensity (0.2 koe/$) to 2050 year it is necessary annually to diminish index of energy intensity on 2 – 5 goe/$, that will demand investments in modernization in a volume no less than US$ 5–6 billion in a year. Prognostication of lowering of energy intensity in Ukraine to 2050

  11. The Government systematically works on reduction of energy intensity of the economy • The Prime Minister Mykola Azarov stresses the need for the systematic work of the Government to reduce the energy intensity of the economy. He announced this at the extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. • "It is the task of not one year, however, a lot can be done already today", - noted the Head of Government. The innovative attitude to technology, business initiative allow you to greatly reduce energy consumption", - Mykola Azarov underlined.

  12. In this connection, the Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of economic development and trade, the Ministry of regional development, building and housing-communal services, Ministry of energy and coal industry in the full use of all determined by the legislation of incentives to support energy-saving projects.

  13. The project developed now in our organization, it is «Information and communication support mechanism of industrial energy efficiency in the Donetsk region».

  14. The informational constituent of mechanism's consists in drafting of data bank of technologies of energy efficiency, list's of the international organizations interested in investments and providing of informative support, including the resources Internet in the given sphere.

  15. In addition, a mechanism will include the algorithm of conducting of energy audit of industrial enterprises. Purpose – to define composition of indexes for the energy audit of every industry of enterprises in Ukraine.

  16. Our partners in the given field – Institute for Economics and Forecasting, Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences (NAS).

  17. On the basis of the already conducted researches in the field of industrial energy efficiency, we are ready to collaboration in other programs with partners, that interested in the given direction.

  18. Our project is “Innovative information system of energy audit of industrial energy efficiency”.

  19. Abstract of project propositions: we are interested in development of the innovative information system of energy audit of industrial energy efficiency, which will realize three stages.

  20. First - analysis of industrial energy efficiency. Second - search of innovative measures for industrial energy efficiency. Third - management of industrial energy efficiency in Ukraine.

  21. Energy audit is based on the software, which should include:- methodologyof the energy audit;- list of objects of the energy audit;- energy audit procedures;- typicalviolations;- deviations from the established norms of energy consumption, energy intensity;- patterns of reporting forms.

  22. The information system of energy audit should allow:- automate the effective and efficient planning of the audit;- to reduce the audit time at the expense of abilityto import into the program from corporate databases indicators on energy, including should be implemented to connect to remote database over the Internet;- to carry out energy audits in accordance with applicable law and standards.

  23. We are interested in the search of partners for realization of project “Innovative information system of energy audit of industrial energy efficiency”, from Sweden or other countries of region of the Baltic Sea.

  24. In addition, we are planning to create the scientific educational laboratory of mathematical modeling for the synthesis of models of production processes and management by energy efficiency, on the basis of results of our project and experience got in international networking.

  25. Our department will get international experience in a theme which is for it’s priority for researches now; new scientific and educational developments for students \ graduate students \ practical workers in field of energy efficiency.

  26. Thank you for your attention!
