  1. Are you ready for the northwest washington fair?? Now is the time to start getting ready if you haven’t done so….

  2. We want everyone to have a positive fair experience. Denying any animal entry to the fair is not something anybody wants to do. Please help by getting your animals prepared before fair week arrives!!

  3. Vaccinations & Parasite control Now is the time to update vaccinations for your small and large animals and to examine and treat for any internal or external parasites. Vaccines and products to treat parasites take time to be effective. Talk to your veterinarian if you have questions about what vaccines are needed.

  4. Female Cattle 4 months of age or older must be vaccinated against Brucellosis.

  5. Free from disease All animals presented at the fair must be free from contagious diseases. This includes respiratory disease, visible parasites, warts, ringworm or any other disorder that can be transferred between animals.

  6. Goats & sheep must… Be dehorned and castrated. Any wounds or surgery sites must be completely healed. Must be adequately identified for the WA State Scrapie Program.

  7. Bringing a Chicken? If you are planning on dusting your birds, please do so at least a week prior to the Fair. Trying to examine birds that have been recently dusted is dangerous to those doing the inspection and makes them more difficult.

  8. Thank you… For doing your part in making the 2013 Northwest Washington Fair a success for all of those involved.
