Biomedical Department: Research • 22 staff members • Examples for funded research projects: • Archetypes to structure the Electronic Health Record • Patient portals within the EHR • Contextualisation within CPOE systems • Systems biology of prostata cancer • Personalized cancer treatment • Data mining in bioinformatics • Segmentation of medical images using prior knowledge • Robotic systems for search and rescue operations

Biomedical Department: Education B.Sc. in Biomedical Informatics (~ 50 students) B.Sc. in Mechatronics (~ 40 students) M.Sc. in Biomedical Informatics (~ 20 students) M.Sc. in Mechatronics (planned) Ph.D. in Biomedical Informatics (~ 15 students) All programs are in German, Ph.D. also in English.
