Overall Objectives of the Project • Live Lectures/Seminars with capability of interaction between presenter and Cyber audience • Video Conferencing with Electronic Board capabilities • Chatting Capability for live interaction among participants • Off-line availability of contents • Secure mechanism for exams/assignments transactions

CORE NETWORK • Three core locations including Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi • These nodal points are interconnected at 2 Mbps using existing optical fiber network in the country • Upgradeable to 155 Mb/s • Initially 4 Mbps of international connectivity shall be provided at nodal locations for Internet facility

  31. CONCLUSION • Pakistan has enough Telecom/Networking Infrastructure in the form of PERN to establish linkage with APAN consortium and contribute to this prestigious education and research community
