RADARSAT ordering • Verify operational requirements for sea ice 3 weeks in advance • Approximately 350 images / month • Covers all ice-covered waters • High frequency (daily coverage in active shipping areas) • Weekly coverage in archive areas (ie Arctic in the winter) • Determine oil pollution partners’ requirements 3 months in advance; • Approximately 100 images per month • Covers non-ice covered waters

  13. Norwegian Ice Service • Year-round ice service • East Greenland to Novaya Semlya. • Main focus around Svalbard - 250-300 RADARSAT scenes. • Fram Strait - 50 RADARSAT scenes • Fram Strait and the Barents Sea – 150 Envisat scenes

  14. Danish Meteorological Institute • Greenland area – 500 SAR images / year • Ice charts, iceberg detection • Most for Cape Farewell area • Secondly for Disko Bay area • Caspian Sea – 50 SAR images
