  1. Sitakanta Mahapatra Shreshtha Gadyakruti Odia Book Sitakant Mahapatra (conceived 17 September 1937) is an Indian artist and abstract pundit in Odia as well as English. He served in the Indian Authoritative Help (IAS) from 1961 until he resigned in 1995, and has held ex officio posts, for example, the Director of Public Book Trust, New Delhi from that point forward. He has distributed north of 15 verse assortment, 5 paper assortments, a travelog, more than 30 scrutinizing works, aside from various interpretations. His verse assortment has been distributed in a few Indian dialects. His remarkable works are, Sabdar Akash (1971) (The Sky of Words), Samudra (1977) and Anek Sharat (1981). He was granted the 1974 Sahitya Akademi Grant in Odia for his verse assortment, Sabdara Akasha (The Sky of Words). He was granted the Jnanpith Grant in 1993 "for exceptional commitment to Indian writing" and in its reference the Bharatiya Jnanpith noted, "Profoundly saturated with western writing his pen has the uncommon euphoric scent of local soil"; he was likewise granted the Padma Bhushan in 2002 and Padma Vibhushan in 2011 for writing separated from winning the Soviet Land Nehru Grant, Kabeer Samman and a few other esteemed grants.
