Philippians 4:4-7. Worry & anxiety are natural in life. Jesus himself faced anxiety as the cross approached. “ My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me ” (Matt 26:38).

Worry & anxiety are natural in life. • Jesus himself faced anxiety as the cross approached. • “My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me” (Matt 26:38). • But, instead of allowing worry/anxiety to fester, Jesus turns to his Father in prayer. • Satan wants worry/anxiety to fester.

God has promised to answer prayer in accordance with his perfect will. • “I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you” (Luke 11:9). • “Whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight” (1 Jn 3:22).

  7. “As [Paul] reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled” (Acts 24:25). • Are you anxious over the state of your own soul?
