  2. Fact:Marjorie's cage was made of both wood and metal. Opinion: I think Marjorie is a poor, defenseless girl.

  3. Objective:Marjorie Bruce is eleven years old. When her father is crowned king of Scotland, she becomes a princess. This makes her and her father targets of the king of England. Marjorie is then captured and locked in a cage. She is located at in the middle of the town square. Marjorie is taunted, garbage and rotten food is thrown at her. The cage that she is locked in does not have walls, only bars. Because of this she is exposed to rain and winds.

  4. SubjectiveMarjorie Bruce is a very poor eleven year old. When her father becomes the proud king of Scotland she becomes an excited young princess. This makes her and her father targets of the ruthless king of England. Marjorie is then captured and locked in a horrid cage. Marjorie is located in the middle of town. She is nastily taunted, and garbage and rotten food is carelessly thrown at her. The cage she is helplessly locked in does not have any walls, only dirty, nasty bars. Because of this, Marjorie is exposed to brutal winds.

  6. Comparing and Contrasting the Book and What Actually Happened:

  7. Comparisons:Isabel, Mary, and Marjorie were captured and locked in a cage in both the book and real life.Longshanks nickname was actually "Hammer of the Scots".King Robert killed John Comyn.

  8. Differences:In the book, Isabel crowned Robert at the coronation, and in real life she crowned him two days after.In the book, Marjorie was present at Dumfries at the murder of Comyn, and in real life, she was not.

  11. Cause:Robert Bruce betrayed England.

  12. Effect:Marjorie was captured and Locked in a cage by England's King.
