  2. The Life Cycle • Egg • Tadpole • Froglet • Frog

  3. Eggs First, a frog lays thousands of eggs. The eggs will turn into tadpoles.

  4. Tadpoles Tadpoles have round, black bodies and a long tail. Tadpoles live in water. Tadpoles have gills.

  5. Froglets Tadpoles then make a change! They become froglets! Froglets look like tiny frogs but they still have a tail.

  6. More changes! Then the froglets change again! Now the tiny froglet has no tail. It can climb out of the water to breathe the air. The froglet starts to eat bugs and worms.

  7. Adult Frogs • Frogs have webbed feet • Frogs can hop out onto the land • Or swim in the pond • They can jump very far • They change their color to hide from enemies

  8. Most frogs are brown or green. Frogs use their long sticky tongues to catch bugs.

  9. Frogs talk to each other by saying ribbit or Croak. They have very strong legs.

  10. Some frogs climb in the trees. Frogs hibernate in the winter.
