Diabetes is one of the most common serious complex health conditions that affect over 387 millions of people around the world. It is a disorder in the endocrine system that is characterized by the impaired ability of the body to respond to or produce insulin which leads to a constant increase of sugar or glucose levels in the urine and bloodstream.

Diabetes can cause critical health complications such as lower-extremity amputations, loss of sight or blindness, kidney failure, nerve pain, and even heart disease. It is characterized by the impaired ability of the body to respond to or produce insulin which leads to a constant increase of sugar or glucose levels in the urine and bloodstream.

This serious health condition has become increasingly more widespread because of the also increasing cases of obesity across the globe. As of the moment, there are already around 387 million individuals both males and females of all ages who are suffering from diabetes. The data includes the estimated number of people who are still unaware that they are suffering from diabetes and who are not yet clinically diagnosed for such condition either at the diabetes center or in a clinical setting.
